A bridge on the river India

there was a bridge of understanding and tolerance where people of different faiths met and talked, now that bridge is in the rubbles thanks to the religious fundamentalists and fanattics operating under the garb of cultural nationalism. The bridge once a pride and joy for India is....

a courageous young leader who was supposed to give some respite to the people from a military regime fell to the senseless assassin's bullets. This charismatic lady had so much to offer to her people if had been elected but the fate had different plans for her. oxford and cambridge educated and the daughter of former leader Zulfikhar ali bhutto, benazir was trained and groomed by her doting father. she had accompanied her father when he visited India on a summit meeting with Indira gandhi. Indira gandhi, upon seeing her commented that she saw future of Pakistan in the eyes of benazir.

she leaves behind her ailing  mother, a sister, husband and 3 children.

cricket is a game the people of indian subcontinent will give their life to. such is the intense passion and admiration the people have they go any length to see their favorite stars. One wonders was it a British conspiracy to export this game to its colonies they had ruled in order to subjugate them. English language and the game of cricket have caught the imagination of the people and you are not adequate as a human being if you are not interested in either of these two.  

Essentially an English game played in the bucolic surrounding of english villages by shepherds while tending their flocks this game has evolved eversince. played by 11 on each side it has many forms. One day game, three day game and the popular one day game. in which sport you get to see players having lunch break, tea break, drinks at each hour? and after Five hard and arduous days of play you will not see any result as the match ends in a 'Draw'?  

and to make the game more amusing they have names for each field placement. Third man, gully, square, slip and on lighter side a "silly Point".
